Wrap: Last week, a Cole County Circuit Judge threw out a ballot initiative that would replace Missouri's income tax with an expanded sales tax based on the auditor's financial analysis.

The Missouri State Auditor Tom Schweich originally estimated if voters approved the initiative Missouri could gain up to $300 million or lose up to $1.5 billion - he's standing behind that and challenging the judge's ruling.

A final decision will have to be made and more than 100,000 signatures collected before the ballot initiative deadline in three weeks.

But Schweich is now appealing that ruling and says his original numbers were accurate.
