On Tuesday evening, the House committee on economic development unanimously passed the tax credits for freight forwarders on its own, which was part of the China Hub proposal last legislative session.
Bill Sponsor, St. Louis County Representative Mike Leara says the bill is designed provide tax credits to freight forwarders as a way to attract businesses to ship their products out of St. Louis rather than Midwest competitors like Chicago.

The tax credits would have a cap of 60 million dollars over eight years.
