Joint education committee hears from universities on new funding formula

Wrap: Lawmakers were urged in a hearing in Warrensburg Tuesday to base half of any new higher education funding above the base level on performance.

Officials testified on the importance of measures such as job placement and degree completion. 

Joint Education Committee chairman David Pearce says performance metrics must take into account the varying goals and missions of the state's schools.
