Wrap: I'm standing outside the House chamber where debate just wrapped up on a bill that would tighten laws on unlicensed childcare facilities.

The House approved a measure allowing judges to discontinue a care provider's services if they are accused of abuse, neglect or if a child dies while at their facility... until the issue is resolved in court.

The bill would also impose fees up to 10-thousand dollars for care providers who tell customers they are licensed when, in fact, they are not.

But Representative were not the only ones taking action to crack down on unlicensed childcare providers in the Statehouse...

 I'm standing here outside of the Senate where the Senate passed a similar bill just about an hour after the House passed their version of the same bill.

Senator Scott Rupp sponsors the Senate bill increasing penalties for violations and adds restrictions to facilities under investigation for abuse and neglect.
