House approves bill allowing guns in company cars

Intro: 
Republicans in the state Capitol are pushing a bill that allow vehicles owned by businesses throughout Missouri to become gun friendly.

Wrap: Republican Rep. Stanley Cox of Sedalia says he wants to protect the citizens of Missouri by allowing guns to be permitted in company cars.

Cox says that this bill would increase safety for business employees in dangerous areas.

Description: "Lets say that you go everyday into a dangerous area that you feel uncomfortable, and you decide you want to protect yourself or your family. This allows you to protect yourself or your family."

But Democrat Rep. Margo McNeil of Florissant says that these cars would become main targets for robbery and that people could obtain these weapons and commit even more gun violence.

The House has approved the bill and sent it on to the Senate.
