Wrap: Republican representative Delus Johnson has proposed a bill that would make daylight saving time permanent.

The bill would make daylight saving time the new central standard time, and would make lighter evenings but darker mornings.

Description: " This is laying the foundation for a very long term commitment because we do have to pass this through twenty different states before its actually going to take effect. It's a long term project but I do think it's very obtainable.

Johnson says that this would help business productivity in Missouri because of the later sunlight hours.

Wrap: Northwest Missouri Republican Representative Delus Johnson believes that an answer to better business is more sunlight.

Delus Johnson says he believes longer daylight hours would increase productivity for outdoor businesses, allowing people to work outside longer.

Run Time:  00:11
Description: "When twenty states in this country join the daylight saving time elimination pact, we will switch to daylight saving, for the last time, and then daylight saving will become the new central standard time."

Currently there are no states that have made daylight saving time permanent, but two states Arizona and Hawaii have eliminated it.
