Wrap: St. Louis County Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal had a twelve and a half million dollar proposal fail after a tie was broken by Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson. However, she said three-million is a start to rectify issues around the landfill.

Actuality:  CN1.WAV
Run Time: 00:10
Description: I really, definitely want to make sure that people living in compromised situations around the West Lake landfill are taken care of.

Only one senator voiced opposition to the smaller measure.

Chappelle-Nadal had her Senate bill to buyback contaminated homes pass with thirty votes yes and three no. The bill has a House hearing scheduled for Wednesday and the funds would work in combination with the measure.
