Wrap: The Interior Design Council for Professional Registration no longer meets and five members of that council are governor-appointed, according to the report.

It says that multiple boards have not met in the last decade or at all and recommends many boards be consolidated with more responsibilities.

Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson co-chaired the task force and said the report allows him to quote "eliminate a great deal of bureaucratic red tape."

Governor Eric Greitens said quote "the task force took an important first step to shrink the size of government and make it work better for the people."

Wrap: The Missouri Home Care Union opposes the idea, saying the Missouri Quality Home Care Council was approved by voters and allows those who receive in-home care to direct its future.

Home Care Attendant Elinor Simmons says the governor should imagine if his care was affected by the council's elimination.

Description: If that was him, he would not want the government to take away the program that would help him to have a sustainable life, and you never know where you're going to end or how you're going to end up.

Five positions on the council are vacant out of the total eleven and the terms for all members have expired.

In-home care for eight-thousand Missourians was estimated to decrease after a budget cut earlier this year. An unusual, one-time fix for the cut was vetoed by Governor Eric Greitens.
