"Missouri, Where the rivers run." That's the new logo State Tourism leaders are hoping will attract new visitors.

Rivers are not unique to Missouri.

But Tourism Director Christopher Jennings says that doesn't matter.

Actuality:
RunTime: 11
OutCue: ...we've done our job."
Contents: "If we can get in people's minds rivers with Missouri, like they do mountains in Colorado, 10-thousand lakes in Minnesota and Grand Canyon in Arizona... we've done our job."

"Missouri, Where the rivers run" differs from previous campaigns in that it targets travelers who are more likely to come and spend money.

The new marketing strategy is expected to cost more than seven-million dolllars.

From Jefferson City, this is Melissa Phillips reporting.
