Tobacco Lawsuit Raises Questions about Missouri Money

Members of the Missouri House Tobacco Settlement Committee say they do not know how a Federal lawsuit against some tobacco companies will effect Missouri's promised money. Kristin Marinec has that story from Jefferson City.

On Wednesday the Justice Department sued the nation's largest tocbacco companies for billions of dollars. A previous settlement with the companies promised Missouri nearly seven billion dollars.

One legislator expresses concerns about receiving the money. Rural Northeast Missouri Representative Phil Smith is on the committee.
