Voters could decide if I-70 becomes a toll road

Pay to drive on I-70? That decision might soon be in the hands of Missouri voters.

Victor Roberto has more from the state Capitol.

The Senate Transportation Committee heard a bill to make it possible to turn I-70 into a toll road.

The bill's sponsor, Senator Matt Bartle, says even the money from Amendment 3 is not enough to fix I-70.

Contents: I don't care what kind of magician Pete Rahn is, he's not going to be able to build and fix I-70 with Amendment number 3.

Bartle says the toll would be about 20 dollars for a round trip from St. Louis to Kansas City.

Contents: I think it's the only realistic option because it's a huge project. The federal government isn't going to just hand us that money.
