House amends protection of companies in Asbestos lawsuits

Intro: The House passed an amendment to protect companies sued by victims of Asbestos poisoning. Kevin Gehl (GALE) has more from the state capitol.

The House voted to protect successor companies from Asbestos lawsuits.

Companies that changed ownership after the outlaw of Asbestos will no longer be forced to pay full settlements to victims.

Representative Brian David Yates called lawsuits against companies like Crown Cork and Seal unjust.
