SOC Infection with MRSA, a type of staph infection, is so common in Missouri that official counts are not even recorded. Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has been working to educate health care providers and schools in the state about the dangers of MRSA. The Department of Health deals directly with school nurses and other public organizations, says Department of Health and Senior Services representative Nanci Gonder.
