Carly Robertson was there and has more on the event:
Twenty-one Missourians were honored in a ceremony for the service during the Vietnam War.
Governor Matt Blunt presented each receipent with the state's first Commemorative Vietnam Veterans Medallions.
Blunt says this ceremony is a small way to show appreciation to our country's service men and women.

|Description: "Though we can't enheal the wounds of thirty years, we can acknowledge and we must acknowledge the contribution these Veterans made. It is never to late to say thank you or to show our respect and apprecation."|
The Program was created in 2006 after similar awards were given to Veterans of World War Two and the Korean Conflict.
