The Missouri Department of Transportation is trying to make one of the states major highways into a toll road and legislation will be introduced in January.
Wrap: The Republican House Floor Leader Tim Jones isn't ruling out the possibility of making I-70 a toll road.
|Description: "For transportation, we have a major issue in the state, and we're going to have to consider all potential solutions at this point in time."|
But another member of House leadership Speaker Pro Tem Shane Schoeller says there's no way.
|Description: "I'm opposed to toll roads for our state. I think that that's the wrong direction. If we were going to make that decision it would have been made years ago."|
The department of transportation introduced it to improve the interstate and possibly add a lane in each direction.
