Mobile home owners would have more rights under legislation filed Monday

Mobile home onwners would be given more rights under one of the first measures to be filed Monday for next year's Missouri legislative session. Thomas Warren has the story from Jefferson City:

The measure would prohibit arbitrary and short-notice evictions from mobile homes and require landlords to offer one-year leases.

Linda Weekly of the St. Louis area lent support to the measure. Weekly said she and others have been evicted from mobile home parks without reason.

Lana Wiseman, a mobile home owner from Columbia, said mobile home residents are not protected from their landlords.
